Classical Islamic Law
Course Number: 586-0-01 Sadeghi 4 Units
Classical Muslim law with emphasis on methods of textual interpretation. Overview of the history of pre-modern Islamic law: formation of schools of law, social and political contexts. Case studies in laws of sale, marriage, divorce, and the obligation to forbid wrong. This course is cross-listed with RELIGST 201/301.

This course is not taught at the Law School. The course will be held at the Main University in Building 200-015.
