Introduction to Organizational Behavior
Course Number: 327-0-01 Lowery 3 Units
This course relates existing theory and research to organizational problems by reviewing basic concepts in a number of areas including: individual motivation and behavior, decision making, interpersonal communication and influence, team and small group behavior, and individual, dyadic, and intergroup conflict and cooperation. The course focuses on the ways in which organizations and their members affect one another and exposes students to frameworks for diagnosing and dealing with problems in organizational settings. You will participate in a number of group exercises to illustrate course principles and to give you practice not only diagnosing organizational problems but also taking action to improve team and overall organization performance.
